Summer Blues & Time Outs

Hello Friends,

Happy August! It is kinda funny I am saying happy August when I am not exactly happy the summer is half over! And, I am craving a first half do over - since I over scheduled myself. Last Wednesday I had to give myself a time out of sorts - a mental health day. I knew I needed to just stop and regroup. This is really hard to do when outside influences encourage us to be busy getting things done! I especially struggled to actually listen to myself when I just got back from vacation. But I did it anyway - I stepped away from my job, and took a full day to be quiet, to sit with my bad mood and read from two books that inspire me. When I woke up on Thursday morning, there were no regrets. The day really helped me come back home to myself. 

And, that is what our Day of Restoration retreat is all about!
